LUMINATO BSR

Luminato BSR (barn name: Louie) is the first foal out of Cartaya BSR.  Combining Cartaya's competitive, brave nature and blood, along with Le Primeur's carefulness, scope, and beautiful gates, Louie is set for a successful future as either a jumper or eventer.  Louie is an inquisitive, smart, sensible, and friendly horse who demonstrates an easy willingness and trainability.  He has an elegant, modern build with a beautiful refined head and a big eye.  Louie was lightly started under saddle in 2021 and was reported to be easy to start with a natural balance.  He demonstrated trainability and a willingness to work.  With his modern, lanky build, great movement under saddle, and super personality, Louie is the barn favourite.  Louie has a bright future ahead.

Le Primeur stood at Spruce Meadows and was instrumental in their breeding program for many years.  He competed at 1.60m and he has produced a number of offspring competing at 1.25-1.60m.  Le Primeur's dam line was awarded the highest evaluation for conformation. 

 

Cartaya was only four years old when Louie was born.  She started her sport career as a five year, with show miles from 0.80-1.0m at venues such as Spruce Meadows, Rocky Mountain Show Jumping, and Thunderbird Show Park.  As a result of COVID, Cartaya did not have an opportunity to show during 2020 and 2021.  Given the ongoing uncertainty in 2021, the decision was made to breed Cartaya for a 2022 foal.
